As Mechanical and Electrical Consulting Engineers, based in Dorset, we are used to being tasked with addressing the 'pipes and wires' in buildings. We still do that; but now we do so much more. Our passion for ecologically sound built environments drives us towards a holistic design approach, achieved through collaborative working with clients and design teams using economically viable and sustainable solutions.
This is not to say that we no longer have the expertise to adapt, refurbish or modify existing heating, ventilating, water, lighting, or other M&E building services systems; we do, but this is not done before low carbon options are considered along with the risk and economic impact of integrating renewable technologies into the refurbishment strategy.
